The Nathan K5 series is the most widely
used horn today on Americal Railroads. The several different variations
consist of high or low mounting bases or manifolds and also the particular
individual horns that make up the chime. These horns are very loud, and
ruggedly made to withstand typical railroad service. Below you will find

locomotives, and also a test of a K5LA in an outdoor location on a hill.
